Paneer Butter Masala
Ingredients:
- 250g paneer, cubed
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare Base: Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. Add onions and ginger-garlic paste, and sauté until onions are golden brown.
- Add Spices and Tomato Puree: Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well. Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates from the masala.
- Add Paneer: Add cubed paneer and mix gently. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Add Cream: Stir in heavy cream and kasuri methi. Cook for another 5 minutes until the curry thickens.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
